Allow peace time veterans to join the American Legion

The American Legion has a rule that you can only become a member if you have served during a war overseas and only during their allotted time periods.  I am a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was stationed stateside and in Japan and cannot join because my service time was not during a foreign war.  I believe that if we serve our country during peace time we should have the same right as any other veteran.  Please sign to allow ALL veterans to join the American Legion.
