Allow Scooters to ride Victoria Skatepark in Newbury

The new Skatepark opens in Newbury on 3rd July, 2011, having been eagerley awaited by hundreds of youths across West Berkshire, and indeed further afield. A sign has now been erected at the Skatepark banning Scooters from using this great facility. 

We have questioned Newbury Town Council about this and their official line (as at 22nd June, 2011) is that Scooters damage the ramps, and that Skateboards and Bikes don't. 

As a Scooter Deck is made of Aluminium, and the ramps are constructed from Steel and Concrete we do not support this argument. Granted the ramps will sustain signs of wear and tear, but feel all users are to blame.
