This petition is to make SCID(Severe Combined Immunodeficiency) screening mandatory in Newborn screening. There are currently only three states that are making this mandetory. Although this condition is rare,it is still out there.
 This past week the world lost a beautiful 5 month old little girl to this condition. If this screening was mandetory, she may be alive and able to live a long and fulfilled life.
