Ban dog/cat devocalization in Virginia!

There is no reason that animals should have their vocal chords removed except for in extreme situations where it is necessary for the dog's or cat's safety and health.  But this happens all too often by negligent humans who are merely tired of their dogs barking.
This year the Virginia General Assembly voted down a bill that would make it a Class 6 Felony to perform this cruel operation on our companion animals.  The bill was HB 2195.  Please sign this petition so that next year we can finally get rid of this inhumane and barbaric procedure.
