Build Gulf of Maine Wind Turbines in Maine

We, the undersigned citizens of Maine, are excited to hear that the Advanced Engineered Wood Composites Center at the University of Maine is working to develop deep-water, offshore wind turbines and platforms for our country.  We want these windmills/platforms to be made in the U.S. and would strongly prefer they be made at Bath Iron Works where we have the ability to build them.  We call on our Congressional delegation, the Governor, and the State Legislature to begin working now to ensure that windmills and platforms that get put into the Gulf of Maine are built here at BIW by skilled Maine workers.
