Elephant became a National Heritage animal of India now but people are still abusing this animal for joy, ride, publicity tool, political party symbol, alcoholic drinks like Carlsberg beer

Hence being an National heritage animal of India, no one can abuse Elephants for Elephant polo, joy rides, publicity tool, Bahujan Samaj Party - BSP symbol, personnel gain and profit. Rules and regulations should be framed to protect Elephant from unnecessary pain and sufferings.

Elephants is a reserved symbol for the Bahujan Samaj Party - BSP and now Elephants has became a National Heritage Animal of India, where as Elephants are being hired by the BSP candidates for their election campaigning, elephants are being controlled with the iron ankush, which is banned by the Rajasthan High Court (Jaipur Bench) and this animal being abused during election campaigning, for example Shri Kanwer Singh Tanwer hired elephants in 2008 and then Deputy Commissioner, Sonipat Shri Sudhir Rajpal directed the candidates not to abuse elephants. The Election Commission of India has also issued directions on dated November 20, 1997.

So Elephant image be freeze for political party as symbol and BSP be asked to replace their party symbol from Elephant to another, like wise lotus is a national flower of India then why it was allotted as a symbol to the Bhartiya Janata Party - BJP, hence necessary directions may kindly be issued in this regard. Founder Chairman, People for Animals (PFA) Haryana >www.pfaharyana.in< Naresh Kadyan, representative of the OIPA in India >www.oipa.org< raised these issue and we endorsed all points taken up by him. Please allow OIPA in India deputation to explain in person before the full bench of the Election Commission of India.
