Harshest Penalty Allowed by Law for Dixie's Killer

Dixie was run down and killed on the sidewalk in Southside, Birmingham, AL on May 28th.

She was accidentally let into the back yard (fenced) by my old roommate and she jumped the fence. We heard it and took off running. When we found her a little while later, she was dead. Seven witnesses called the police and stated that this was intentional and that the guy had sped up, jumped the curb, and killed our princess.

I have spent 2 months looking for the car. I was tipped off today and all the info matched up. The police are charging this as a FELONY hit and run (believe it or not, in AL you cannot hit an animal that is not in the road and continue going) and ANIMAL ABUSE. Make the DA/prosecuter know that we will not stand for this and we demand justice!

This is a huge opportunity for animal lovers to state their case and to demand justice. I am asking that the harshest sentence possible be imposed on Dixie's killer.
