New Jersey: Get Back Family Planning Funding!

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has cut out all funding for family planning services from the 2011 budget. This is absurd!

No only is this move insensitive to women and their health, it makes no fiscal sense. State dollars don't fund abortion, so that is not the issue. In fact, having family planning agencies available helps lower abortion rates: in 2009,  New Jersey's Title X family planning agencies helped prevent 39, 782 unintended pregnancies and 18,896.

This plan will endanger women's health and cost the state money when they are already in tremendous debt. Planed Parenthood says that "each public dollar spent to provide family planning services saves an estimated $4 that would otherwise be spent in Medicaid-related costs alone."

Governor Christie's 2011 budget plan is a disaster for family planning and women's health, and means more debt for New Jersey. Tell Governor Christie to fund New Jersey's family planning in 2011.
We the undersigned think that family planning should be included in New Jersey's 2011 fiscal  budget.

Removing reproductive health services from the state budget is insensitive to women's health, and does not make fiscal sense. Family planning services are beneficial to the community: in 2009,  New Jersey's Title X family planning agencies helped prevent 39, 782 unintended pregnancies and 18,896.

This plan will endanger women's health and cost the state money when they are already in tremendous debt. Planed Parenthood says that "each public dollar spent to provide family planning services saves an estimated $4 that would otherwise be spent in Medicaid-related costs alone."

Please do the right thing for the people, especially the women, of New Jersey. Add family planning back into the 2011 fiscal budget.
