Removal of Rolland Burris from U.S. Senate
We seek the removal from office of Junior Senator from Illinois, Rolland Burris for the reasons of dishonesty in releasing the facts of his dealings with Former Governor Rod Blagojevich.
We the undersigned people of the State of Illinois, request your immediate resignation from the office of Junior Senator of the State of Illinois.
You have not been completely honest with the people of Illinois in you dealings with former Gov. R. Blagojevich concerning the senate seat you now hold.
If you truly cared about the people of Illinois and believed you were the best person for this position, then you would have encourage the Illinois Legislature to hold a special election for the post of Junior Senator of Illinois instead of accepting an appointment from a tainted Governor.
Please do the honorable thing and resign now.
