We, the concerned and somewhat thirsty citizens of Massachusetts petition the honorable Gov. Deval Patrick to intervene in the outrageous act of barbarity to be inflicted by the State Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission this week.
According to reporting by the Boston Herald 25 cases of beer and 150 bottles of distilled spirits confiscated as part of anti-underage-drinking enforcement efforts are scheduled to receive the death penalty at the hands of State Treasurer Tim Cahill and his agents. According to the treasurer s spokesperson this execution of the imprisoned alcohol will involve something with a bowling ball.Clearly a violation of the cruel and unusual punishment clause of the US Constitution.
Gov Patrick we are calling on you to act! Please stop this outrage perpetrated by the government of Massachusetts which it should be noted prohibits the death penalty.
We the petitioners listed below, therefore call upon Gov. Deval Patrick to issue an immediate order of clemency for the Cahill 25 and the SABCC 150. We further urge you to release the prisoners to the petitioners so that we may properly incarcerate them in our refrigerators and liquor cabinets at no cost to the taxpayers of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
