Support S.1176, a bill to END Horse Slaughter in the US

On June 9, 2011, Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) introduced a bill, S.1176 that would amend the Horse Protection Act of 1970 to prohibit the shipping, transportation, moving, delivering, receiving, possessing, purchasing, selling or donating horses to be slaughtered for human consumption.

This bill recognizes the vital role that horses play in the collective experience of the US and they deserve our protection and compassion.

Furthermore, the bill emphasizes that horses are domestic animals.

We need to support Senator Landrieu's bill because it is on the Senate floor now, and those Senators in favor of horse slaughter need to hear from us!

God Bless you and the animals.
