If passed the Augie Asphalt Assault would be one of the first all urban downhill races in the country. Set to take place on the beautiful Augustana College Campus in Rock Island, IL, the race would take 50 riders from all over the country and pin them in a time trial event featuring almost 20 staircases and many twists and turns.
We the undersigned are in full support of the event, The Augie Asphalt Assault. We as a group collectively believe that this event will bring more people into the mountain biking community, increase campus activity invlolvement, as well as increase the variety of campus activities here at Augustana. We realize that an event of such magnatude requires many committments including: time, money, and labor and we fully accept these responsibilities.
