PETITION TO GRANT EDWARD STRYSZAK, PATRICIA STRYSZAK AND ANGEL4CAUSE DOG RESCUE
PETITION FOR REZONING/SPECIAL USE VARIANCE/UNIQUE USE
FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT
9050 ELM AVENUE, BURR RIDGE IL 60527
The undersigned whose address is listed next to their name, residing in the Seventeenth (17th) District of the Cook County Board, do hereby execute this Petition as there free and voluntary act and with knowledge of the following facts.
1. Petitioners Edward and Patricia Stryszak own and operate a 501(c)(3) not for profit dog rescue facility at 9050 Elm Avenue, Burr Ridge, Illinois, pursuant to guidelines provided by the Illinois Department of Agriculture.
2. Petitioners provide a necessary service for the safety, protection and welfare of the community in that they assist in removing stray, abandoned and abused dogs from the public within District 17 of Cook County.
3. Petitioners have applied for a special and unique use to have a container located within the fenced in portion of their property for the storage of food and other necessities to care for the rescued dogs.
4. Petitioners have applied for a special and unique use to maintain a sign at the property to identify it as a dog rescue facility.
5. That Police Departments use the Petitioners facility to assist in the removal and care of stray, abandoned and abused dogs that are discovered or reported in the community.
We are of the belief that the neighborhood and community are in need for such a facility to protect its citizens from the dangers associated with stray and abandoned dogs. We hereby petition the Zoning Board of Appeals for Cook County and the Cook County Board of Commissioner to approve and grant the Special Variance and Unique Use petition file by the Petitioners.

To the Zoning Board of Cook County,
First off, Thank You everyone who took 1 minute of their time to have the same believes that we do. Thank You for the compassion and Thank You for speaking for the animals because they can't speak for themselves. I personally have read each and ever response and was emotional by such beauty that I almost was giving up on because I didn't realize how many people where out there with the same heart. I started to think that this world is cold and cruel and all you Angels picked me up again.
Please allow Angel4Cause to stay open with special use to continue rescuing abused and abandoned animals. If you take the animals away you take it away from the children. I personally can't express the love and compassion for what I believe has helped both. The results are there. If I can't get compassion to continue what I am doing how am I suppose to teach the Children compassion. This is my life and this is what I believe in. This is what I get up and live for everyday. We are not the cause but I believe in Angel and I am asking to Please be An Angel 4 This Cause. There is enough sorrow in this world to deal with. I just Pray everyday and night that my prayers are answered for both the children and animals. I don't care what anyone says they do go hand in hand. We are by far selfish people but very caring and loving people who are giving hope to what society has given up on. In the zoning of R-3 they permit people to have dogs making a decision to not allow a rescue to function. By not allow caring rescues to function it will be causing a bigger problem in any area. Please lets focus on the positive of getting them off the streets and contained and placed in forever homes. We can't control the coyotes but we can try and make a difference when a stray comes in and keeping our streets safe and the police can do their job instead of chasing dogs.
