We, the undersigned, would like to bring to the attention of the Wilkes-Barre Area School District Administration the following problem: The coaches, advisors and parents of the South Wilkes-Barre Mini Mohawks Cheerleaders would like the Wilkes-Barre Area School District Board Members/Administration to reconsider the decision not to allow our junior football organization to have use of the sound equipment/PA system at Wilkes-Barre Area Memorial Stadium. All participants of the South Wilkes-Barre Mini Mohawks are students of the Wilkes-Barre Area School District. As all participants are students of the Wilkes-Barre Area School District, we, as parents, pay school taxes to the Wilkes-Barre Area School District. Seeing that we, as parents, pay school taxes to the Wilkes-Barre Area School District, we feel have essentially purchased, at least in part, the sound equipment currently being used in Wilkes-Barre Area Memorial Stadium and should have the opportunity to have use of the system. This petition is to show the Wilkes-Barre Area School District, specifically Mr. Serafini and Dr. Namey, how unhappy we are with their decision not to allow the use of the sound equipment/PA system during our football games. We, the undersigned, as parents and taxpayers of the Wilkes-Barre Area School District, would like this decision revisited.
