"Eliminate The Electoral College Vote"

Americans are under the illusion that our vote counts when it really does not. The Electoral College Vote (a handful of people) vote each President into office.
If we eliminate the Electoral College Vote then we the People who are well informed of the candidates running for office will decide as we cast our vote who will be our President.
In doing this we the people of the United States of America will for the very first time be able to elect our President based on his/her capability, morals, integrity, honor, values, and merit instead of standing in long lines while the handful of people (The Electoral College Vote "Team") have already decided. 
It will cut out any thoughts of a corrupt election. Effectively, a few people can be bought but not all of America.
