Ban the killing of Australian cattle in cruel full inversion slaughter boxes

Full inversion slaughter boxes, which tip livestock upside down for slaughter are banned in Australia. But through the live export trade, Australian cattle are killed in these boxes in some overseas markets.

This box would be illegal in Australia due to the extreme suffering it causes, though it is deemed an 'acceptable' way for animals to die in the live export trade.

These boxes involve animals being tipped 180 degrees and having their throats cut whilst fully conscious, immobilised, suspended upside down and in a state of extreme distress. Slaughter via throat cut without stunning is highly painful due to the sensitivity of the nerve fibres in the neck region. 

Please sign the petition and demand the Minister of Agriculture, Barnaby Joyce, bans the export of Australian cattle to countries that use cruel full inversion slaughter boxes!
