We have found out by a RELIABLE SOURCE that the Missouri State Fair is contemplating adding fees to the livestock exhibitors to cover costs of running the fair. We are starting this petition requesting them to find some other means of raising the extra money they will need.
If you have livestock and you, your kids, or grandkids show at the Missouri State Fair please sign this petition to try to get them to find funds somewhere else to cover their expenses. They want to raise cattle and hogs $20 per head and sheep and goats $10 per head. In my opinion, the EXHIBITORS are the heart and foundation of the fair. If they need money they should not have "Free Days", up the admission on concerts, rodeos, and other extra paid for events, up the Beer prices and even up the general admission a little bit. They are forgetting that the schools won't be starting till after the fair with the new Missouri law in effect. The attendance should be much higher since no one would have to miss school to be an exhibitor or a fair goer.
