RSPCA - Please Return Coco NOW!!!!!!!!

Coco was found abandoned in Cyprus by Anne Parsons. She was nursed back to health (including a blood transfusion) after being extremely poorly. A seemingly loving home was found in the UK. Please bear in mind that dogs and cats are treated atrociously in Cyprus so for every one re-homed abroad, it allows Anne to save another (all funded by herself and her OH - very often with very little financial help from others).

However in February 2016 the new owner decided she didn't want her. At that time, she had escaped (something she had done on MANY occasions) and was being held in the Isle of Wight Council's Dog Pound. Anne was on holiday in the UK at the time (some holiday that turned out to be!) and made arrangements to take her back to Cyprus, having paid the release fee to the Council. The Council then decided to return her to the owner!!

The UK owner (although she can hardly be called that as she had failed to register Coco's micro-chip in the 9 months she had had her), then changed her mind.

Then in April 2016, it was discovered that the "loving" owner had surrendered her to the RSPCA's, Isle of Wight branch.

Anne contacted them. Despite there being a verbal agreement with the owner that if she could not care for Coco she would be returned to Anne, the RSPCA deem this agreement worthless, and are refusing to allow Anne to have her back. They state she is still being "assessed". The General Manager - David Poulton - did not even know what breed she was "I am the General Manger - I do not need to know what breed of dog she is." Bit strange considering they are an ANIMAL rescue/welfare charity.

The RSPCA state "Coco is happy and healthy and being well cared for by the RSPCA and we have spoken to the rescue organisation in Cyprus and kept them fully informed of her wellbeing." This is NOT TRUE. The RSPCA have not contacted Anne.

Anne has begged and beseeched the RSPCA to return Coco to her, maybe people power will help.

Coco is still in kennels at the RSPCA, something this poor soul will hate - she is not a solitary animal - she is a sight hound and needs to be with other dogs.

PLEASE SIGN MY PETITION, LET'S GET COCO BACK!!!!!!!

To David Poulton - General Manager - RSPCA - Godshill - Isle of Wight

Mr Poulton

As you can see, many people support me in my request that Coco is returned.

Please take heed of this - sometimes everyone gets things wrong - maybe I should never have sent Coco to the UK, but as I have said, for every dog I re-home, it allows me to save another.

A loving, caring and more to the point, knowledgeable home is waiting for her.

PLEASE let me have her back.

Yours sincerely

Anne Parsons
