**Petition for a New Declaration of Independence and a Fresh Start for the United States**
To the People of the United States of America,
We, the undersigned citizens, do hereby declare that the current government has failed to serve the best interests of the people, and that urgent action is required to reclaim our freedoms, our justice, and our future. Inspired by the wisdom of Thomas Jefferson, who in 1776 wrote a Declaration of Independence to abolish tyranny and establish a government of the people, we recognize that the time has come to consider a new beginning—one that restores our liberties, ensures justice, and rebuilds our nation from the ground up.
**We declare the following grievances that demand immediate redress:**
1. **Taxation Without Representation:** Excessive tariffs and taxes that burden ordinary citizens and small businesses without fair representation.
2. **Destruction of Small Businesses and Historical Landmarks:** Mom-and-pop landlords, local restaurants, and small businesses are crushed by economic policies. Historical buildings, including landmarks like the former Penguin Coffee Shop (now Mel's Drive-In), are being unjustly destroyed or misclassified, erasing our cultural heritage.
3. **Immigration and Law Enforcement Abuses:** ICE’s unjust arrests of hardworking individuals of color under the guise of illegal immigration, leading to family separations and community harm.
4. **Neglect and Abuse of Vulnerable Populations:** Special needs individuals and the elderly are denied access to Social Security and Medicaid, while wealthy elites exploit these systems. Additionally, many are subjected to unethical medical practices—such as dentists performing unnecessary procedures like veneers held in place by non-existent "shields," causing pain and harm.
5. **Erosion of Women’s Rights:** The right to reproductive freedom and women’s autonomy are under attack, threatening our fundamental freedoms.
6. **Threats to Voting Rights:** Voting laws are being manipulated to suppress the voice of the people, undermining democracy itself.
7. **Neglect of Non-Profit and Support Organizations:** Critical organizations like Therapeutic Horse Riding centers and the Special Olympics struggle for funding, depriving vulnerable populations of vital services.
8. **Illicit Wars and Military Overspending:** Our involvement in unnecessary wars and military interventions have cost lives and resources, diverting funds from domestic needs.
9. **Climate Change and Environmental Neglect:** The costs of gas, limited hydrogen fueling infrastructure, and high prices for eco-friendly vehicles threaten our planet and economy.
10. **Corruption in the Judiciary:** The stacking and politicization of courts, including the Supreme Court, threaten impartial justice.
11. **Healthcare and Pandemic Preparedness:** Dismantling of healthcare systems, reduced vaccine development, and neglect of pandemic prevention endanger us all.

- The establishment of a **new capital in the Four Corners region** of the United States, symbolizing a fresh start.
- The election of **sane, young, and fair leaders**, including a new President and Vice President, who are truly representative of the people.
- The creation of a **new Congress, House of Representatives, and Supreme Court**, with justices and judges elected by the people, ensuring accountability and justice.
- The relocation and rebuilding of the **White House, Smithsonian museums, the Library of Congress, and the National Zoo** to this new capital, fostering a renewed sense of national pride and cultural preservation.
**We invoke Thomas Jefferson’s backup plan**—the right of the people to abolish a corrupt government and establish a new system that truly serves the people’s interests.
