Trump, Hold Your First Press Conference In Over a Year

Not much about Donald Trump's presidency is normal, but it's becoming glaringly obvious that Trump doesn't like to be transparent with the press. It's been a full year since Trump last held a press conference - no president has hid this long for over 50 years.

The news media is an important component of our democratic institutions. It's embarrassing that our president cannot take a little heat and answer critical questions on his own.

We call on the White House to schedule a press conference ASAP to make the president answer for his policies and show accountability and accessibility to the press.
