Hello, my name is Nicole Adintori. Today my friend and I witnessed a man who drowned at Lake Mohegan in Fairfield, Connecticut. Sadly the man drowed after the police, fire department, and EMT's tried their absalute best to save his life. Unfortunately this is not the first time a person has drowned in this lake. For those who don't know, Lake Mohegan is a man made lake that has many undertows due to it not being made correctly. Multiple people, including many children, have drowned due to these underwater caverns. Yes there are lifeguards on duty to watch the waters but they can only help to a curtain extent until they get sucked in by the undertows too. There have been an unsettling amount of deaths throughout the years due to the lake being unsafe to swim in. I was on News 12 explaining what I saw and why I feel there needs to be a change. The reason to this petition is for the town of Fairfield to find a way to fix under water to make it more safe. Please share this so we can fix this issue to make sure something like this never happens again!!
