MALIK JONES CENTER: VISION/Mission

The Newhallville community is suffering due to a lack of resources. There is insufficient investment in the areas of cultural and academic education, family structure, youth enrichment, health and wellness, financial literacy, and community ownership. Our mission is to create a community resource center that would address these issues and many more, by providing programming aimed at empowering, enriching and educating the community.

Our vision is a center that would allow residents of Newhallville to take ownership over the process of addressing the numerous social and economic issues that plague their everyday lives. The programs we envision would help the Newhallville community develop the necessary knowledge, skills and confidence to make this a reality.
