Honor Carrie Fisher: Ask That Some of Star Wars: Episode 8 Profits Be Donated to Mental Illness Causes

Carrie Fisher was more than just a Princess. For many, she was an outspoken advocate for those suffering from mental illness and fought tirelessly to de-stigmatize it by speaking openly and honestly about her own struggles.

Like her character, Carrie was fearless, witty, and not afraid to show courage in the face of ridicule and scorn. She stared down addiction, bi-polar disorder, and depression and used her experiences to help the lives of others.

The best way to show tribute to her legacy would be for Disney and Lucasfilm to donate a portion of the proceeds from the upcoming Star Wars film to a reputable mental health organization. Join us in signing the petition and making sure that our Princess' legacy lives on forever.
