Save The Animals!
The Humane cety In. here in Great Bend is anything but humane. Ypu ask me what do I mean well I will tell you just what I mean. They have animals there that they get from the city of Great Bend, and Barton County supposedly, and they say thatthey put the animals in the Great Bend Tribune for tem to get adopted, well I beg to diffr I know that they don't do that, I have looked in th Classifieds and nowhere have I ever seen them offer animals for adoption. They also let an animal be there 2 weeks then after 2 weeks they kil innocent animals and they well if there is no room we will kill them, well thats is like saying that animals have no right to live. There really is no room for humans but do we get killed? No! Last year my fiani found a lost puppy Chinese Sheirpe and he took the dog to the Human Society and they gave to guy 2 days to get the dog, and the day that my fianci found the puppy the dogs owner had just paid for all the dogs shots and he had to have money for him, and his kids beacuse he was a single father that had to pay bills and he asked them to give him just a couple more days and they said no, then they killed the puppy just because the dogs ownder couldn't get the dog out, also last year they dealt with 1.500 animals and how many did they kill? Half of them! Is that fair? I mean sit back and really think about it, its not its like saying that animals are lesser then us and therefore have no rite to live. Last year my mom was going to give 2 cats to te Humane Society ti et adopted and she was told quite rudely that if she left them there they would kill both cats. Rusty this guy that I talked to on the phone I told him that Hutchinson saves animals andI was told thats Hutchinson, we are Great Bend and our facility is a kill shelter not a non-kill shelfter(saves animals). I mean if you think about it Great Bend is an animal hating city!
We the undersigned understand that people that work for you are so far from wonderful. You say that you love animals and work very hard to raise extra money to take care of your animals but some of you do not. It is sad that some people just want to kill the animals and not even give them a chance to help keep the aniumals off the street by giving them families. Also it will help the city not have a lot of strays. I know that you say that you work very hard to find homes for all the animals they get out there. But some of you hate animals and they are the ones that kill them behind your back. I called you guys and asked if you killed animals and a man told me that yes you kill animals if they are not adopted in 2 weeks and that you do not try to adopt them out like you say you do. Also when my mother went to you guys to give 2 of her cats to you so that you could find them better homes what did you say to her? You told her that if she left them with you that you would kill them. Now who is lying to the public? What you should open an animal adoption center and save the animals. You also should stop killing innocent animals just because you hate them or whatever your reason is, there is no good reason to kill them! Thank you so much for taking the time to read my letter.
