On Monday, August 7th 2017 the city council will be meeting for a final vote regarding the 320 unit apartment complex proposed by Alliance Development Group. This proposed complex will be located near Gresham Mill and Sixes Road adjacent to the Aquatic Center. This is NOT the same 362 Unit Complex that has already been APPROVED for the location at Sixes Road and Highway 5 adjacent to the Home Depot. In addition to this, the assisted living facility and senior living community have also already been approved and construction started.
Just some of the negative repercussions the residents have regarding the approval of this project are as follows -
Increased traffic and congestion
Increase in traffic related accidents
Increased population
Overcrowded schools and buses
Increased crime
Our current roads, schools, shopping centers and restaurants are already crowded. Increasing the housing without expanding the infrastructure is irresponsible.
We respectfully request the Planning and Zoning Commission reconsider approval for this additional apartment project and deny the applicants application. We further request the Planning and Zoning Commission to deny any additional multi-family projects such as this in the future.
