Stop Super-power Boat Racing in Moreton Bay. Demand protection for marine life NOW!

We urge the Moreton Bay Regional Council to remove the Superboat Grand Prix activity from the Celebrate Redcliffe Festival as it is environmentally irresponsible. The event is held annually in September.

We believe it to be detrimental to the marine life of Moreton Bay.  Council’s own environmental policy is to protect and preserve wildlife and the environment and this is simply not being done. 

 This activity could easily be replaced with a more environmentally responsible activity like dragon-boat racing or outrigger canoe racing (both very popular local activities in theMoretonBay region.)
