Stiffer Penalties for People Who Leave Dogs in Hot Cars!

It is illegal yet we still see it every day; dogs left in hot cars. There have been Public Service Announcements...law enforcement gets called...animal control officers are called...yet it continues. Until there are stiffer penalties against this inhumane practice, it doesn't appear anything will change. Maybe if we get enough signatures we can make a difference and help out those animals whose owners don't seem to care. It seems reasonable to ask that (1) every report of such a situation gets written up and documented including owner name, address, and license # and (2) second offenses result in a $100-dollar fine with that amount doubling with each offense after.
