The people of Weed, California suffered terrible losses in the recent fire around Mt. Shasta, California. The wonderful people of the area have suffered devastating losses and many have lost everything- they NEED Everything especially for the people and animals who survived the fire. They barely got out with their lives. please do what you can for them at Shasta Sanctuary on Facebook. They need donations of money and replacement things that they lost- it burned to the ground. Please, Care2 Friends come to their aid as they have aided so many animals in need over many years. I used to live in the area and I loved that town- everybody there were angels to the animals-and they helped the people, too. My Vet, Grace R. was apparently spared, but I don't know about her house. This is going to be ongoing need as they have lost a jewel of a town, but the community there is still strong for each other. I am 1500 miles away and helpless to help them, but if you can, please visit their site and donate what you can- and if you can go volunteer (If you are in driving distance) help them in any way if possible.
