Three dogs nearly froze to death after their owners left them outside in extreme cold in the northern U.S. When authorities finally showed up to rescue the dogs, the temperature outside was around
-11 degrees Fahrenheit (-24 Celsius), including the freezing 'wind chill' effect.
Even worse - this home and the people living there had already been associated with documented animal cruelty incidents in the past.

The situation was so bad, one of the men living there was even charged with criminal animal cruelty in 2018.
This time, again, it was neighbors who came to the rescue. They observed that multiple dogs were left outside, even in freezing conditions, for hours and hours on end. When authorities arrived, they discovered two dogs tied up to wooden structures that were falling apart, and unable to escape. One more dog was trapped in a cold basement. The dogs didn't even have anything to eat or drink because the nearby water buckets had frozen solid, and the food had gone rancid.
When authorities tried to intervene, one of the two men in the home actually tried to hide one of the dogs!
Why would these men be allowed to keep pets, when there is a documented history of neglect and cruelty, and when they've shown such callous disregard for these animals' welfare in the middle of winter?
Sign the petition to demand that authorities in Connecticut ban these two men from ever living with, owning, or working with animals in the future! They obviously do not know how to care for animals, and cannot be entrusted with their well-being.
