Shopless Sundays for Oxford Street

In line with the Mayor of London's stated policy aim of reducing traffic pollution by introducing a one day a month car-free day to Oxford and Regent Streets, I would like to propose a trial of "Shopless Sundays" once a month, which would offer a much deserved day of rest to the shop workers AND local residents of the same streets, who currently suffer the side-effects of our relentless shopping society.
