Nation wide ban on puppy mills NOW!

Animal welfare victories are no longer a thing of the past. Cities around U.S are finally coming to their senses to ban the sale of commercially-bred pets. San DiegoPhoenix, Los Angeles, Chicago to name a few, and now Connecicut and Illinois to soon follow the lead, but these are vastly small steps considering how many others have not done the same. Indiana at the moment ranks fifth on national list of scrutinized puppy mills, with Missouri having 24, Ohio 15, Kansas 11, and Iowa 8, Indiana and New York tie for fifth in the United States with six puppy mills under scrutiny.

The reasons for a nation wide ban on commercially bred animals are more than obvious. They focus on increasing profit while health and welfare of the animals continues to rarely be a priority. Animals are more than often crammed into inhumane, squalid conditions where they're rarely cared for. And it's a known fact that retail pet stores across America sell 500,000 dogs annually while close to 7 million enter shelters majority of which end up being euthanized. This is nothing more than trafficking at the expense of animal suffering to fulfill some sick greed driven economy. This is unacceptable. Nation wide puppy mill bans must be enforced at once!
