Tell Facebook to Stop Censoring Anti-Trump Protest Events

On Thursday, December 1, 2016 a Facebook search for anti-trump protests returned dozens of results. The very next day, the same search produced zero results. Facebook has censored and removed from public view all events created to organize anti-trump protests. Tell Mark Zuckerberg to STOP censoring protest events. Tell him it is your Constitutional right to conduct protests.

Dear Mr. Zuckerberg:

We have discovered that Facebook is no longer allowing anti-trump protest events to appear in Facebook search results. As you are aware, the Bill of Rights guarantees every American the right to stage peaceful protests. Specifically, Amendment One states, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

We understand that Facebook is not subject to Consitutional law; however, we believe that Facebook is inhibiting the people of the United States from expressing themselves in regards to the 2016 Presidential election. Not only is this censorship extremely poor public relations for Facebook, but it sends a strong negative message to Facebook's advertisers.

Please stop censoring anti-trump protest events and allow political activism to take its due course.
