Tell Kevin McCarthy to hold a straight up-or-down House vote on increasing the debt limit.

Republican extremists are on the verge of throwing America into default, and sending us into a deep recession. And they are demanding absurd concessions before they will raise the debt limit, and let America pay its bills. They are refusing to hold a simple vote on a straightforward increase, without all the added nonsense.

If just 5 Republican House members voted with Democrats to increase the limit, we could end this nightmare. But McCarthy won't give them that chance. What is he afraid of?
