Legalize Psilocybin Mushrooms for Therapeutic Use in Georgia

Legalize Nature!

Instead of taking up gambling and, now, horse racing, the Ga. Senate should take up legalization of psilocybin mushrooms for therapeutic use and in support of mental illness and other social causes.

Treatment for depression with psilocybin mushrooms has been fast-tracked by the FDA last year and, since then, Compass Pahtways, a UK company, had its IPO at Wall Street and trades at around $100. Johns Hopkins and other major universities are currently researching and running human trials for treatment of PTSD, alcohol addiction, weight loss, anxiety due to end-of-life/cancer etc. scenarios. The use of psilocybin mushrooms must be legalized in Georgia for the good of humanity.
