Orkambi is a drug which helps to beat the illnesscystic fibrosis. This illness Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disorder that affects mostly the lungs, but also the pancreas, liver, kidneys, and intestine. Long-term issues include difficulty breathing and coughing up mucus as a result of frequent lung infections.
The nhs do not want to make it available for patients because it costs £100,000 per person per year. We cannot put a price on our families lives.
