Naming the new hall dormitory in honor of Detective Daniel N. Ellis

The below signed believe that the New Hall Dormitory located at 4351 Kit Carson Dr. Richmond Kentucky should be renamed to honor slain Police Detective Daniel Neil Ellis.

Det. Daniel Neil Ellis, 33, passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, when he succumbed to injuries sustained during an investigation of a robbery.

Detective Ellis was an alumni of Eastern Kentucky University and was a Law Enforcement Officer for the Richmond Police Department. He was a member of the Madison County F.O.P. Lodge #47, a member of the Kentucky Narcotics Association, the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity and a member of the East End Church of Christ in Lexington, KY.
