California: Don't Let Immigrants Go Without Healthcare!

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) has increased access to private health insurance and Medicaid, but it does little to help the millions of undocumented immigrants who are denied access to these programs.

Many undocumented immigrants are afraid to sign up for the programs that do accept them because they fear deportation for themselves and their family members.

Undocumented immigrants include children of people who crossed the border into the US. These children have done nothing wrong and often know no other life beyond their experiences in the US. It is unfair to punish these children by making it difficult for them to receive healthcare.

Please sign the petition to expand California's healthcare offerings to make it easier for immigrants to get coverage!

We, the undersigned, are concerned that, while the Affordable Care Act (ACA) has increased access to private health insurance and Medicaid, it does little to help the millions of undocumented immigrants who are denied access to these programs.

As you know, many undocumented immigrants are afraid to sign up for the programs that do accept them because they fear deportation for themselves and their family members.

Undocumented immigrants include children of people who crossed the border into the US. These children have done nothing wrong and often know no other life beyond their experiences in the US. We believe that it is unfair to punish these children by making it difficult for them to receive healthcare.

We respectfully urge you to work to expand California's healthcare offerings to make it easier for immigrants to get coverage. Thank you for taking the time to read and consider our petition.
