Leave the black hooded Coucal in his habitat

The Black-hooded Coucal has a strong dark hooked bill , black head with a glossy, the body is dark brown, long black with green sheen tail, it is endemic to the Island of Mindoro in the Philippines in four sites only Mount Siburan, Puerto Galera, Malpalon and Mt Calavita Wildlife Sanctuary,the population is less than 400 individuals and it is listed as Critically Endangered according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

Threats are deforestation leaving  the remaining  forests highly fragmented and fear that all forest will disappear by 2020-2030, dynamite blasting for marble , slash and burn cultivation , occasional selective logging.

The Black-hooded Coucal,  it is endemic to the Island of Mindoro in the Philippines, the population is less than 400 and it is  listed as Critically Endangered according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
