INSIST THAT EVANGELINE DOWNS ENFORCES AN ANTI-SLAUGHTER POLICY

We believe an anti-slaughter policy would show that the people in this sport care about the athletes in the sport enough to protect them and assure them to a new future after racing. This would better the sport and increase fans of the sport. Please consider an anti-slaughter policy and work with those that are willing to see these horses to second careers.

We will NOT accept finding horses at kill lots constantly coming from Evangeline or any other track.

I am ending this petition because just this morning Evangeline posted the following on their facebook page.

Evangeline Downs Racetrack & Casino

Evangeline Downs does not condone the sale of horses for slaughter, and we have a zero tolerance policy toward this practice. Any owner or trainer based at Evangeline Downs or Delta Downs who is caught violating our no-slaughter policy will have their stalls permanently revoked.
