ANIMAL CRUELTY: LET THE PUNISHMENT FIT THE CRIME

Wendy Clark was recently arrested on a misdemeanor charge of cruelty to animals in Kingston, NY. She failed to provide food and water to a dog she left in an apartment after she moved out of the residence. She left a living, loving animal to suffer the agonizing process of dehydration and starvation that would eventually lead to it's death. I find it difficult to accept that this was settled with a "ticket" to appear in court and her release. I am truly hoping that the District Attorney, D. Holley Carnright, treats all CRIME against animals with equal PUNISHMENT. Wendy Clark didn't forget to put money in a parking meter. She knowingly left her loving pet behind to suffer and die.

It is the hope of this petition to urge D. A. Carnright to bring justice to the horrific crimes of animal abuse and to have the punishment equal the crime. If you are outraged by the inhumane crimes against animals and would like to see justice prevail, please sign this petition.
