stop the lynx hunt in West Bothnia, Sweden

  • av: Andreas Jansson

        • The government of the Province of West Bothnia (Swedish: Västerbotten) in Northern Sweden has given a quota for hunters to kill 30 endangered lynxes. The population of lynx on the Scandinavian Peninsula (Sweden/Norway) is estimated to be around only 1500 and 2000. We believe that giving a quota that high of an endangered species just for some hunters to get a cheap thrill is wrong and destructive. We like to think of lynxes as the tigers of Europe and we want them to continue to exist, the hunt of lynxes in Sweden, Norway and Finland has to stop immediately in order for this species to survive in this area.
