Sadly, North Carolina schools cannot afford to have new textbooks in schools. How do they expect our children to learn without them. Textbooks are the cornerstone of learning,
Pat McCrory has decided that it's okay to cut education funding in the state of North Carolina and I'm sure that other states have also done this in order to save a few bucks and then using it for some other purpose that the state would've been better off without like suing the President.
Tax payer money goes to school systems but for some reason we can't even afford to buy a measly book to educate our children because all of it goes to buy new Jerseys every season for athletics. Has anyone else noticed this? Thank you NC for stunting the educational growth of public schools. How about we refocus and buy some new textbooks. Then maybe our teachers will get paid better too.
Dear Govenor McCrory,
You've cut school funding and stunted the educational growth of our children. Not only that but you have cause our state to be one of the lowest paid teacher states, meaning our teachers don't get paid what they deserve. You may say they got raises but not the raises they deserved.
North Carolinians are having to send their students to a public school system where nothing is equal. We cannot afford textbooks because of your tax cuts. Maybe you should listen to the people of your state and country.
Our children DESERVE to go to a good public school with well paid teachers who actually want to do their jobs and teach them. With such low salaries and no new textbooks what teacher would want to teach?
Also, how is it that school systems can afford new team jerseys and uniforms every season that they play when they can't afford textbooks? Don't say it comes from a different bundle of money give us a better excuse Governor.
Why do we need new team uniforms every season? Can we not use the old uniforms? How do you expect a kid to keep up their grades if you give them new uniforms for sports but no textbooks to learn. Kids deserve to be able to have new textbooks and good teachers. Sports are good and all but maybe we should put education first for once.
