Affordable Medicine Act

Medicine is supposed to be life supporting or life extending but many cant afford it. Congress could pass a bill regulating affordability. The Affordable Medicine Act would restrict of all prescription drugs to include cancer and chemo drugs.
after 5 years on the market big pharma should have plenty of time to recoup development costs. Pharmaceutical pricing after that point should never exceed more than 30% above cost. This legislation will not remove the need for drug patents or that they shall exceed 20 years because generic drug manufacturing is still needed to keep monopolies from happening.
