NJ voters - insist on override of Gov. Christie's fracking waste veto.

This year and two years ago, both houses of the New Jersey legislature overwhelmingly passed a bill to ban fracking waste in New Jersey. This year, the vote was better than 90% in favor of the ban. Despite industry claims to the contrary, fracking and fracking waste are harmful to the environment, the atmosphere and to all forms of life - human, animal, marine and plant life. Fracking has caused earthquakes damaged soil and water and uses (among other things) toxic and carcinogenic chemicals. Those same chemicals come back up in the waste products, often accompanied by deep-earth radioactivity. Not only do we not have sufficient places to store the waste, nor many plants (if any) that can properly process it, in Pennsylvania, some is being sprayed on streets and highways as a winter-time de-icer. I wonder, how many parents, if they knew would find that suitable. How many would want to bring radioactivity home on the tires than move the cars in which their children ride? T his industry exists so that a relative few can make huge profits. It has no regard for human health (current nor future), nor for the huge impact the super-dirty oils and gas have on air pollution. Most people are unaware that methane gas (mainly acquired from fracking) contributes more to air pollution than the combined contribution of all vehicles. We need the override, because we need to keep ourselves, our children, our grandchildren and our environment safe.
