We demand to stop sentencing rabbits to death by selling them as Easter gifts!

The sale of rabbits in the months of March, April and May needs to be prohibited in order to prevent them from being impulse buys as Easter gifts. Every year, thousands of rabbits are sold and given away as presents, often times to people who do not know how to properly care for them. Rabbits are sensitive, timid animals who, after the excitement of Easter fades, are forgotten and left to rot in a cage. If they are not properly cared for, death is inevitable. 95% of rabbits who are given away for Easter will die before they make it to their 1st birthday. We need to stop this horrendous display of abuse and save these innocent animals from dying a slow, cruel death.
