The Million Paws March for Justice!

Greyhounds in Spain are called galgos. Being sight-hounds they are used for hunting animals such as hare. These dogs are usually starved before a hunt in the belief that they will hunt better. They live out in the open summer and winter, rain or shine and often in their own filth and excrement.
Galgo owners are called galgeros. There are thousands of them in Spain each having as many as 20-30 dogs. A galgo's hunting career is only 2-3 years long. When the master finds the dog no longer useful he drags it down to the kill station where they are often left to die of dehydration or starvation. They won't "waste" money on euthanizing drugs.
If a dog has performed particularly poorly they will be hung by a wire in trees with their toe tips barely scraping the ground to ensure a long, slow excruciating death.
The better performing dogs are hung higher up for a slightly less tormented death.
A light needs to be shed on this evil. PLEASE sign this petition and get every one you know to sign as well.
