The U.K. Just Abandoned Vulnerable Kids to Fund Its Military

The U.K.'s Labour Party has announced dramatic cuts to U.K. foreign aid, and the consequences will be deadly. The government itself admits these cuts will increase preventable disease, force girls out of school, and put millions of vulnerable lives at risk. And the worst part? Labour is doing this to help fund defense spending — using the lives of the world's most vulnerable as political collateral.

Sign the petition now to demand Labour reverse these devastating aid cuts and protect children's health and education worldwide!

These aren't just numbers. They are children in conflict zones losing access to school, mothers giving birth without medical care, and families watching their loved ones die from treatable illnesses.

These reductions will put the lives of children and vulnerable people at risk across Africa and beyond. In the D.R.C., 170,000 children will be cut off from education. In Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, and Zimbabwe, health and girls' education programs are being slashed.

Labour once led the world on foreign aid, championing the 0.7% target that became a global standard. But now, with the budget slashed to just 0.3% of national income, they risk joining other governments in abandoning the world's poorest at a time of unprecedented need.

We cannot let this become the new normal.

Sign the petition to join in telling the Labour Party to restore UK aid and put lives before politics.
