America's First Hispanic Attorney General Should Denounce Trump's Racist Comments on Judge Curiel!

Donald Trump is attacking the judge that is in charge of the fraud case related to Trump University because his parents are Mexican.

Trump says that Judge Curiel being Mexican-American (born to immigrant parents in Indiana) is a "conflict of interest" because of Trump's stances on immigration and about building a wall between Mexico and the United States. This is all because Curiel isn't letting lawsuits against Trump University -- which allege he scammed students into paying for courses they couldn't afford amongst other things -- go. Now, Trump has said that there should also be a religious test for judges that are working on cases against him.

The first Hispanic US Attorney General Alberto Gonzales recently defended Trump in an article in the Washington Post. As a third generation Mexican-American, I feel confident when I say that Trump doesn't know what he's talking about -- someone's heritage should never disqualify them from anything.

Please tell Gonzales to retract his support, and condemn Trump's use of heritage and religion to disqualify judges.

Dear Alberto Gonzales,

Recently you wrote an article in the Washington Post defending Donald Trump's comments about Judge Curiel (a Mexican-American born to immigrant parents in Indiana) who Trump thinks is disqualified because of his heritage.

Trump believes that because of his stance on immigration and on building a wall between Mexico and the United States, Curiel isn't qualified to handle a case pertaining to Trump University. The lawsuits against Trump allege that his university scammed students into enrolling in courses they couldn't pay for, amongst other things. Trump is also saying that judges should have to take a religious test in order to work on cases related to him.

As the first Hispanic US Attorney General, it's important that you denounce his comments on using heritage and religion to disqualify judges. Please do just that.
