Give SNAP and WIC recipients 25% discount on fresh fruits and vegetables and organics.

People on SNAP and families on WIC need greater access to the higher levels of nutrition available in fruits, vegetables and certified organic products. To this end, we request the House and Senate immediately modify the founding documents for WIC and SNAP to create an automatic 25% discount for all holders of either account for their purchases of fresh fruit, vegetables or certified organic products. This will improve the health of the families in these programs, encourage more healthy eating habits and hopefully reduce childhood obesity.
