We Are a Natural State, So Lets cut down on Plastic Waste

I work at Walmart and as I am bagging people’s groceries I notice how many plastic bags are used for each person transaction. When I go out in the parking lot I see so many plastic bags floating around. I would like to challenge Arkansas to start charging people to use plastic bags like other states have done. We live in a natural state so I would like to cut down on seeing plastic bags floating in creeks and lakes. I realize that for other states it’s easier to charge per bag because people make more money in other states but we could charge less per bag than other states. I think if we charge five cents per bag it will still make people want to switch to reusable bags.
